DREAM to
DESTINATION
People who are successful in life have a winning attitude. From sports stars to business owners. From TV presenters to the world’s leading artists, they all back themselves to turn out good. How do we know? Simple. Because they made it as far as they did.

Hear us right on this one: we are not saying that they never once doubted they would make it. That they never once messed up or took a wrong turn. Mistakes are part of the process, as is failure. Our ability to train ourselves into having a winning attitude however is the difference between, well winning and losing.
ā
Winning and losing is not just for sports
ā
Ever heard someone talk about ‘winning at life’? Yeah. Us too. It means that they are doing well in their field. Whether their field is a literal field and they are a sports star (or farmer even, farmers stand in fields…) or a metaphorical field, it’s kind of irrelevant. You can win at life and be an electrician, nursery teacher, doctor, scientist, mechanic, anything. You can also feel that you are winning in life because you have the DREAM family or lifestyle. Or the DREAM friendships, motorbike, holiday home or garden.
ā
Winning attitude defined
The great thing about a winning attitude is that few of us are born with it but all of us can develop it. No seriously. Even those of you that are currently sighing, rolling your eyes or saying ‘not me’, yeah even you can train yourself. The whole ‘I’m a pessimist’ vs ‘I’m an optimist’ idea is not set in concrete. Sure some of us are more naturally cautious and some of us are more naturally excitable but that doesn’t mean you can’t train yourself to become an all-out optimist over time. So long as you decide that is what you want of course. These words alone will not make you turn into an ultra-positive person if you fight against it. We’re in partnership here, us and you, but you need to decide to go with us on this one.

If we disagree then you will ultimately win. Before you quit on us mind, just let us explain about the joy that you would be missing out on. Just hang on in there for a minute longer…
Winning attitude model
ā
ā
At Future decided we actually think that the biggest winners in life are not just those that train themselves that anything is possible. It’s those that realise that one of the greatest joys in life is opportunity. That the prospects that come our way are there to be seized and embraced. Yes we need a determined approach often to fulfil these DREAMS but a ‘can-do’ attitude in itself is often not enough. The wonderful thing about this whole process is that as soon as you drag yourself out of and cut cords with the ‘I Will Not’ attitude then climbing the Winning Attitude ladder is possible. And when you get to the top, well, simply put: you enjoy life more. And you will reap achievement after more achievement in the process. Now what is not to love about that?
ā
Check out our Winning Attitude Indicator below to show you what we mean.
Winning Attitude Indicator

Level 1: I will not
A mindset where we refuse to attempt anything.
ā
Level 2: I probably could
A mindset where we acknowledge we could but choose not to try.
ā
Level 3: I can
A mindset where we declare that we can do something.
ā
Level 4: I will
A mindset where we declare that we will do something.
ā
Level 5: I will...now how?
A mindset where we declare that we will do something and we start to unpack how we might actually do it.
ā
Level 6: I get to
A mindset where we fully embrace opportunity and are not only planning on doing something but we are blown away by the chance to succeed in the first place.
Climbing the ladder
ā
There are many ways to improve your winning attitude. Loads. You may develop your own methods and read around other people’s ideas for sure. Just make sure that anything you do read and apply is practical and not just theoretical.
ā
Here are our top five ideas for you to have a go at...
ā
1. Write down a description of who you are 10 years from now.
ā
ā
What do you want to have achieved, where do you want to be living, what do you want to be working on?
ā
E.g. My name is Edward and I have completed a Master’s Degree in bio-engineering. I have a fiancée and we live in Rome. Each year we holiday in a different country and we have a great circle of friends. I am applying for yet another promotion at work, which is in my field of expertise and interest, namely environmental changes for the better. Fortunately with the wage that I am on I have been able to donate thousands of pounds already to charities that help environmental causes like climate change. I also drive an electric sports car and a moped and have a gym membership to an exclusive club where I train four times a week.

2. Surround yourself with pictures of your DREAMS.
ā
ā
That DREAM car you want to own? Find a picture of it, print it out and keep it above your desk. Applying for university? Stick an image of your first choice place on your wardrobe. Everywhere you look you want to be reminded of your ideal future as images contain a powerful motivational pull. You may find some of our inspiring posters useful for this end for either putting up around your room or even turning them into your desktop screensaver. Click on the link below to check them out.

3. Surround yourself with positive friends.
ā
Anyone who drags you down or belittles your DREAMS is not a friend. At the same time anyone that builds you up, speaks life to you and believes in you are absolutely golden. We tend to become like the people we hang around with. Hang around with people who break the law and you’ll likely become a law-breaker. Hang around with people interested in learning a trade and their enthusiasm will likely rub off on you. Hang around with people who want to change their world for the better and…yeah…you get the idea.

4. Write yourself a morning mantra.
ā
What’s the first thing you do when you wake up? Probably check your phone. Social media presumably. Maybe you check some sort of news and odds are it’s relatively depressing.

How about instead writing your own morning mantra and making your first move of the day a positive one by simply reading it before you do anything else? It could be but a few sentences long. It shouldn’t be too extensive and it should be something that excites you.
ā
Here’s an example:
ā
Today is going to be a good day because I have decided it will be. I will learn a lot, work hard and keep on track to fulfilling the DREAMS I have inside of me. When I mess up I will not let it get me down. I am a person of purpose, influence and abundance. My life will make a difference to many. I was born to achieve.
5. Make a splash on social media and confirm your intentions to the world.
Making your position public often brings increased focus and energy. You are inadvertently going public on it all. For more help in doing this and further information click on the link below.
