Our model
explained

Most young people don't like to plan. They like to do.
But planning can be enjoyable when the journey they are taking is exhilarating.
āMost young people don't fulfil their academic potential as they lack an inspiring vision for their life. āWe all know this to be true.
ā
Yet in our constant state of busyness we tend to spend more time honing in our ability to effectively communicate our subject area than we do addressing this real issue. Our intentions are good but the results are often frustrating.
ā
We need to avoid the trap of believing that by working our socks off to become better subject specialists we will automatically engage our students to new heights. CPD in our subject is important of course but speaking purpose into the lives of our students will likely have a greater impact when done effectively.
Our resources help you do just that. Allow us to explain...
Our model unpacked

Our courses and resources help you take your secondary and post-16 students on a purposeful journey of learning how to and the importance of...
complying, dreaming, planning and focussing.
These four areas are the very basis that allows every young person and young adult to thrive. If we're honest most of us don't give them much thought - how can we when we are busy and feeling the daily pressure to deliver? Yet, without this base any efforts on our part usually crumble or become severely blunted. We find ourselves trying harder but we don't always have the results to show for it which is beyond deflating. Yet it need not be so. There is an alternative way as you shall see below.ā

Pyramid Paradigm Unpacked
ā
āLet us give you a quick tour through the stages that make up our successful model so you can see for yourself the benefits they bring.
Complying: If your students are not consistently doing the basics right - e.g. attending lessons, doing their homework, respecting their peers, tidying their room even - then it has a huge knock on effect to their mindset and their behaviour at school / college. Kind of obvious we think but worth pointing out. Our resources help to change this so that students are complying with the basic expectations more frequently. Meaning you get to spend more time teaching and less time trouble-shooting.
Dreaming: Most young people do not have any serious aspirations. Those with aspirations do better in life and in education. They also enjoy healthier relationships. As professionals we sort of know and recognise this yet sometimes we are so busy in whatever it is we are doing that we forget to journey our young people through it. Our resources help you do just that so that all of your students can become goal-orientated, not just some.
ā
Planning: Let’s face it, future aspirations are nothing if we don’t feel like we can fulfil them. Dreams can evaporate in a moment if they don’t look achievable to our pupils. So we need to teach our students how to map a way to their preferred future so that they can see how their DREAM could one day become their DESTINATION. Our resources help show them just this. Meaning your pupils can remain goal-orientated for long periods of time, rather than just for a few hours after your last pep talk with them on the fly.
ā
Focussing: Newly motivated students working towards exams and other qualifications want to know that everything they are spending their time on is the most beneficial thing they could be doing at that moment. As staff you also want to be secure that any revision or homework is being done effectively and not passively. It’s the whole working smarter not harder debacle. It's down to us staff to teach them how to do that. With our resources we have the answers and advice already prepared for you, so that you can simply deliver rather than having to somehow find the time to prepare.

Studying and perfecting: The final two stages to our pyramid model are important but we do not cover them ourselves. This is where we get off the bus and leave you to it. I mean if you want to take a History qualification for example then you need to be taught the syllabus (studying) and you need to understand exam technique (perfecting). Or if you are learning to be a builder you need to study on the job and then learn to perfect your craft.
So yes this part is essential to a young person's success but without the underpinnings of complying, dreaming, planning and focussing it’s needlessly much more challenging, much less effective and a lot more dull. Like trying to build a house of cards on sand. So, rather than spending your time trying to perfect your subject knowledge, why not trying to tackle the root issues of your students? With our ready-made resources you can do just that as we have demonstrated to you in the explanation above.
